Vascular Lesions and Birthmarks

Vascular skin lesions are common, occuring in 40% of children.  Common birthmarks include hemangioma and port-
wine stains.  They can present as a cosmetic problem or cause other complications, including sturge weber syndrome and ulcerations.

Because vascular skin lesions are a complex issue with a wide variety of different types of lesions, treatment methods, and causes, it is best that you consult with your doctor regarding the diagnosis and treatment of vascular lesions.
