Biography:
Dr. Diane Reisinger is a fellowship trained Mohs surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an Associate member of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Reisinger’s first career was as a successful molecular virologist working at prestigious institutions including the Pasteur Institute in Paris. Her cutting edge research explored interferon’s effectiveness as an anticancer agent as well as research on human papilloma virus. This experience influenced Dr. Reisinger’s decision to pursue a career as a physician. She received her medical degree from the University of Southern California with highest honors. Following her internship in internal medicine at the University of California in Los Angeles, she completed her dermatology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After 12 years in a very busy dermatology practice focused on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin cancer, she pursued a Mohs surgical fellowship. Dr. Reisinger joined Palm Beach Dermatology to continue her focus on skin cancer with a practice dedicated to the surgical treatment of skin cancer. With her extensive practical experience and outstanding educational background, she proudly offers compassionate care and technical expertise using meticulous Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction. In select cases, she collaborates with a team of surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and oncologists to provide complete skin cancer management. Beyond her very busy clinical practice, Dr. Reisinger has been actively involved in training family practice residents in basic dermatology and has authored numerous scientific and medical publications. Committed to community service, she has served on medical missions to Mexico, Central and South America and has been honored for her volunteerism by the American Academy of Dermatology. In her spare time, she is a stained glass artist and enjoys sculling and gardening.
