Biography:
Dr. Amanda Marsch is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with expertise in general dermatology and complex dermatologic conditions. She grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky and earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where she graduated summa cum laude and received 11 awards including the Albert B. Chandler Award for the highest academic performance of the class.
Dr. Marsch completed her residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Before moving to South Florida, she became an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Diego, where she trained medical students, interns, and residents for 4 years. While on staff at UCSD, she was awarded the prestigious Academy of Clinician Scholars Whitehill Teaching Award in 2019.
She has authored 40 peer-reviewed publications and written several book chapters. Her other awards have included the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Resident Quality Improvement Award and the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) Academic Research Award. She has been a highly active member of several national dermatologic committees, including the AAD Patient Safety and Quality Committee and the AAD Education and Research Committee. She is currently the Deputy Chair of the WDS Young Physicians Committee and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
As a general dermatologist, Dr. Marsch specializes in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the skin, hair and nails. She has a special interest in melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers, moles, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea and hair loss. She is a member of the Women's Dermatologic Society, American Academy of Dermatology, the international Skin of Color Society, the Medical Dermatology Society and the American Medical Association. When she isn't practicing medicine, Dr. Marsch enjoys swimming, hiking, taking her border collie ("Cali") to the beach, photography, spending time with her husband, and crochet.
