Biography:

Larry K. Cohen, M.D. was raised in the small western Pennsylvania town of Mt. Pleasant. He attended the University of Pittsburgh majoring in chemistry. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude. His medical school training was at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, NY, from which he graduated in 1974. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Cohen received his dermatology training at UCLA Hospital and Clinics. During that time he trained with Dr. Fred Mohs in Madison, Wisconsin learning Moh’s micrographic surgery.

After completion of his residency, Dr. Cohen relocated to Pittsburgh, PA and spent the next 30 years in private practice in the suburbs of Tarentum and Monroeville. During that time he was listed in Best Doctors in Pittsburgh. Dr. Cohen was chief of the section of Dermatology at West Penn and Forbes Hospitals of the West Penn Allegheny Health System. He moved to Florida in 2007 and joined Palm Beach Dermatology in 2008.

Dr. Cohen is board certified in Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Cohen has three grown sons and five grandchildren.
